This tutorial shows you how to set up Microsoft Outlook 2003 to work with your e-mail account with NameHOG. This tutorial focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2003, but these settings are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook between 1997 and 2003. You can set up previous versions of Microsoft Outlook by using the settings in this tutorial or selecting the correct one from the previous page. To Set Up Your E-mail Account follow the steps below.

For the purposes of this example, where it mentions yourdomainname.com, or any data in field names which are mentioned below, use your own information. The youdomainname.com should be replaced literally with the domain name you have setup with us, eg mywebsite.co.uk or abctoys123.com etc.

1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools then E-mail Accounts.

2. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next.

3. For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.

4. On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your information as follows:

Your name: Ensure you type your full name
Email Address: this is the email address as previously used in step 3
User Name: Enter your e-mail address, again as setup within CPanel
Password: this is the password that relates to the email account setup within CPanel
Incoming mail server (POP3) Enter: mail.yourdomainname.com
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) Enter: mail.yourdomainname.

Click "More Settings."

5. On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing Server" tab.

6. Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."

7. Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server". You may specify the settings using the Log On Using option, and put your POP3 account details in here which are the same as the ones that you entered into the Logon Information section in step 4.

8. Select the "Advanced" tab and change the "Outgoing server (SMTP)" port to 26.

9. Click OK.

10. Click Next.

11. Click Finish as your account is now setup and ready to use. If you have multiple accounts, please repeat steps 1 through to 11 with the other account information.

12. If you have followed this guide exactly as above and NOT checked any other extra tick box etc, and also set an account up within your CPanel, we guarantee your email will work 100% fine with no trouble.
