At NameHog we have a couple of people who specialise in Perl script writing. We can offer all our clients the script writing service. If you are not a NameHog client and do not have web hosting with us then its more difficult for us to do work for you as we require command line access to test scripts etc. We still may be able to help though. With our own servers, we are able to install perl modules, if the hosting is with another company we may not have access to do this.

What can NameHog integrate with Perl Script?
We can write perl scripts to integrate with CSV files, MySQL, or raw log files, or anything that we can make the script that we have written read. We can make it read PDF barcodes and EAN-13 barcodes and many more. We can also make the Perl script read from web pages, turn it all into text and pick bits out, so this enables us to read RSS feeds then insert them into shtml web pages. We can also make the output of the perl script if sent to the browser be fully W3C Compliant. We can literally do anything with Perl, so if you want a simple form script or a fully blown CMS or dealer management system that includes payroll, clocking and attendance systems, we can do it!
How much does Perl Script Writing cost?
We charge £25 + VAT per hour for script writing,
we work flat out on whatever you want, we do not waste time and only charge you for the work thats gone in. So we dont charge you when we are out the office on lunch!! If you would like a price of a piece of work, just let us know, we need as much information as possible so that we can estimate the cost as well as possible.
How long does Perl Scripting take?
We work as quickly as possible, but its like asking how longs a bit of string. We need to know what you want first. We can give fixed times and costs for certain things depending on what you want.
